Frequently asked questions
How long does a replacement take?
The replacement itself takes about 2–3 hours. The adhesive then needs to cure – you can usually drive again after 3–4 hours, often the same day.
Does insurance pay for the replacement?
With comprehensive cover, glass damage is usually covered – you only pay your agreed excess, and glass claims don't increase your premium. We handle the entire claim with your insurer.
Repair or replacement – what do I need?
A stone chip smaller than a €2 coin and outside the driver's field of vision can usually be repaired. Cracks, damage in the field of vision or at the glass edge require replacement. If in doubt, use our free cost check.
Does the camera need recalibration after replacement?
Yes. If a camera for assistance systems sits behind the windscreen, it must be recalibrated after the glass is replaced. With us this is part of the service.
Do I get a guarantee?
Yes – 10 years on the tightness of the installation seal. The statutory 24-month warranty applies in addition.
